Jessie J
Jessica Ellen Cornish (also known as Jessie J) is an English musician and singer. Jessie has gained notoriety early due to her distinct style of music, which mixes soul vocals and pop, hip-hop, and electropop. Apart from her numerous nominations, she's been selected for the 2011 "Critics' Choice Brit Awards" and for the BBC's Sound of 2011". The career of Jessie began at the age of 11 as Andrew Lloyd Webber cast her in the show Whistle Down the Wind. After that, she was a part of the National Youth Music Theater and appeared in their 2002 show"The Late Sleepers". She made headlines after the release of her debut studio album 'Who You Are'. The album was a huge success from the beginning. Within the first week the album was sold out to 105,000 people in the UK and 34,000 across the US. The album debuted as second among the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on the US Billboard 200. Jessie has also earned a reputation for her charity work. She participates in charitable organizations like 'Children in Need,' and "Comic Relief."
